ABOUT THE ARTIST
Mo is (they/them) is a nonbinary/fluid, neurodivergent multidisciplinary artist and facilitator who grew up in a small town along the St. Clair River. Their family is Anishinaabe (Aamjiwnaang First Nation) and Haudenosaunee (Oneida Nation of the Thames) and French Canadian. Mo is inspired by intergenerational connections and healing, family and memories, personal and collective empowerment, and all of creation, especially skyworld.
ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
Proceeds from this Sponge Cloth will be supporting the Woodland Cultural Centre, a centre of excellence that strives to protect, promote, interpret and present the Hodinohsho:ni worldview through their museum, resources and collections. Established in 1972 under the direction of the Association of Iroquios and Allied Indians, the Woodland Cultural Centre has over 50,000 artifacts in their museum collection. The Woodland Cultural Centre is one of the largest facilities in Canada managed and administered by First Nations.
With each Woodland Sponge Cloth purchase, $3.00 is donated to Woodland Cultural Centre.
